Hyatt Regency Maui Names Alexandra Santa Director of Group Sales

Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa has appointed Alexandra Santa as the director of group sales. In her new role, Santa will be responsible for all the marketing and sales initiatives to promote group bookings at Hyatt Regency Maui. She will work closely with her team to create new experiences for group guests to bring awareness to the resort’s new products.

“Group sales are crucial for the success of any resort and we are so excited to have Alexandra’s leadership and expertise at Hyatt Regency Maui. She has demonstrated immense creativity and we know she will set the bar high for the rest of our team,” said Fred Findlen, general manager at Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa, in a press note.

Santa brings over 10 years of experience in the hospitality and tourism industry to her new role, seven of which were at Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort and Spa in California. During that time, she worked in the sales department and was quickly promoted to associate director of sales. Santa started her career in the tourism industry at Andaz San Diego, formerly known as the Ivy Hotel.

Born in Durban, South Africa, Santa was raised in San Diego. She eventually moved to northern California to attend The University of California Santa Cruz where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. She describes herself as someone with a profound love for people and places, which has largely contributed and shaped her career in the travel industry. Prior to working at Hyatt she worked as an ocean lifeguard and became a certified EMT.

“Throughout my entire career, I have always loved meeting new people and understanding their goals surrounding a stay,” Santa said in a press release. “Every group is a little different and it is my job to find out how they will get the most out of their resort experience when they choose to book with us. I am incredibly honored and excited to join the amazing team at Hyatt Regency Maui.”

Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa recently finished a multimillion-dollar renovation to its 810 guestrooms including 31 suites and its lobby.
