Greater Miami CVB Hires New Director Of International Accounts

The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) has named Vianny Mancebo as director of international accounts in the convention sales department. In this role, Mancebo is responsible for supporting team efforts to position Greater Miami & Miami Beach as a desired meetings and convention destination.

“Greater Miami and Miami Beach’s resurgence as a leisure travel destination provides a distinct advantage in positioning what makes this place special as an international meetings, business and convention location,” said David Whitaker, GMCVB president and CEO. “Adding talented professionals like Vianny who can build relationships and hit the ground running will really help us ramp up to meet our post-pandemic organizational goals and needs.”

Mancebo has nearly 20 years of sales experience along with extensive knowledge of Miami-Dade’s hospitality industry. Most recently, she served as a senior sales manager at the Hyatt Regency Miami, where she implemented sales and marketing programs for the hotel and region and helped expand Hyatt’s international clientele portfolio. She will assist Carol Motley, SVP of convention sales and services, GMCVB, in developing and implementing strategic plans to drive international meetings and conventions to Greater Miami and Miami Beach.

“International meetings and conventions are making their way to our destination not only because participants enjoy warm weather and beautiful beaches, but also so they can leverage opportunities tied to the growth of new markets here in the tech, medical and manufacturing sectors, just to mention a few,” said Motley.

“We welcome Vianny as we continue to build out our team adding more depth to our bench so that we can showcase all of the world-class attributes that make Greater Miami and Miami Beach a top destination that welcomes travelers from all over the world,” she added.
