Grand Hyatt DFW, located inside Terminal D at the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), has announced a property-wide renovation beginning in July 2025, with completion expected in late 2025.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary in July, the property transformation will kick off a multi-phased renovation that will include updates to the hotel’s guestrooms and suites, improvements to the expansive event spaces, enhancements to the restaurants and bars, and the redesign of the lobby, guest lounges and corridors throughout the property. All phases are anticipated to be completed by the end of this year.
Steps away from the checkpoint of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) in Terminal D, the new hotel lobby will include marble tile flooring and specially designed ceiling finishes with enhanced accent lighting. Its new corridors connect the international airport with the hotel, while the hallways will sport new carpeting. The refreshed fitness center, including Peloton bicycles, will be located on the first floor to accommodate guests’ health and fitness needs. Guests will continue to benefit from an outdoor rooftop pool overlooking the runways of the airport.

In the initial phase of the renovation, the property will increase the number of guestrooms and suites from 298 to 315. Each guestroom and suite will incorporate the latest technologies, including large HD flat screen televisions and new charging ports. Guests will be able to customize their guestroom or suite through its integrated technologies and systems, including eco-friendly occupancy thermostats, enhanced lighting controls and automatic blackout sheers and shades. The accommodations will include expansive closets and modern bathrooms with enlarged vanities, showers and tubs. The guestrooms and suites will maintain their views of DFW.
The redesigned Grand Met restaurant and lounge will offer refreshed seasonal menus. The new concept celebrates artisanal traditions combined with upscale dining at the signature restaurant. In addition to increased seating capacity at the restaurant and the lounge bar, the newly designed private and semi-private dining rooms will be available for both large and small parties.
With more than 20,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including a 6,600-square-foot ballroom, the final phase will unveil a new top-floor executive boardroom and an indoor-outdoor rooftop event space overlooking the airport runways. The renovation will include the latest technical facilities and in-house audiovisual support for corporate meetings, events and gatherings of all sizes.
