Visit Salt Lake Hires Washington, D.C.-Based Sales Manager

Visit Salt Lake (VSL) recently appointed Faye Pastor, CMP, as a new Washington, D.C.-based sales manager. A lifelong native of the Washington, D.C. area, she has worked in the hospitality industry her entire career. Pastor's sales experience includes hotel sales, exhibit and sponsorship sales and marketing.

She comes to VSL from the Association for Molecular Pathology where she’s been the exhibits and sponsorships manager. She has an impressive background, having worked with The San Francisco Peninsula CVB, Ecological Society of America, Visit Norfolk, Atlanta CVB, and Visit Sacramento. She’s active with MPI, IAEE, PCMA, AMPs, and CVBReps.

“It is with great excitement that I will be working alongside Pastor, a seasoned veteran industry professional on both the supplier and planner sides,” said Karen Staples, managing director of sales-East Coast. “We are eager to have her in the newly created position in DC for mid-sized business.”

Pastor will pursue meetings with 201 to 1,700 attendees from the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area. She’ll work closely with and report directly to Staples.

Staples will remain on strategic accounts in the region and continue serving as president of New York Chapter of PCMA until 2023.
