Area15 Announces New Corporate Event Sales Team

AREA15, the art and entertainment district located minutes from the Las Vegas Strip, has announced its new corporate events sales team.

AREA15 is well-suited for corporate events and private bashes of all kinds—be it a concert, food festival, corporate conference, wedding, theater performance, holiday party or private gathering—as its spaces are customizable for events of any size and type. AREA15 is also available for full buyouts, offering a turnkey venue for large-scale events, including access to all of the complex’s experiences and activations across 300,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space.

As AREA15’s director of event sales, Kelly K. Campbell Smolen leads the sales team at the art and entertainment district. From strategic planning to business initiatives and implementing a client-focused approach to sales, she drives and manages overall sales growth for special events. Prior to her current role, Campbell Smolen served as a vital member of Live Nation’s special events division based out of House of Blues Las Vegas. During her tenure, she became the top revenue producing senior sales manager across more than 150 Live Nation venues in the U.S., generating over $10.5 million in revenue.

As the associate director of sales, Dustin Fangman will develop new opportunities for AREA15 to grow and expand. Prior to his current role, he worked in F&B, as well as in event management for Marriott in the Seattle and San Francisco markets. After moving to Las Vegas in 2016, Fangman gained experience in luxury lounge, nightclub event sales, production and entertainment for Hakkasan Group as well as in corporate sales and entertainment for Topgolf.

Jessica Briggs brings over 10 years of expertise in the hospitality industry to her new role as senior sales manager for AREA15. She began her career in the events industry at a golf course where she learned how to plan and execute social events. Throughout her career, Briggs also worked at the former Downtown Project under the Tony Hsieh umbrella where she managed and sold multiple venues. She also worked on the Las Vegas Strip at CHICA by Chef Lorena Garcia as well as in the HyperX Esports Arena Las Vegas at the Luxor Hotel & Casino

As sales manager for AREA15, Veronica Peterson brings over 15 years of experience in the hospitality, travel and events industries to her new role. She believes in not only building strategic partnerships but also creating friendships and meaningful relationships in her role.

Event Services Manager Brenda Gerard will manage large-scale budgets, deliver high-end events and develop strategic partnerships at AREA15. Gerard has developed a strong rapport within the Las Vegas events industry community; in addition, she is also a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and has been an active member of the National Association for Catering and Events (NACE) for over 17 years. Gerard is also the current treasurer for the NACE Las Vegas chapter’s executive board of directors.
