Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina Unveils Multimillion-Dollar Reno

Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina has announced a multimillion-dollar renovation to the Marina Tower, with a focus on the hotel’s public spaces. The entire project is likely to be completed by early 2024.

The extensive renovation project encompasses 1,053 guestrooms and suites, redesigned with new tools for productivity, such as a height-adjustable work table and layered lighting. Some signature amenities, including the Sheraton Sleep Experience platform bed and LED lighting throughout, have been retained. In addition to the redesigned guest accommodations, the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina has unveiled over 130,000 square feet of renovated meeting space in the Marina Tower. These spaces cater to the diverse needs of corporate gatherings, conferences and special events, providing new technology and an inspiring atmosphere.

The hotel also announced the appointment of Chef Marcos Seville, whose culinary expertise will oversee all dining operations. The hotel house six F&B venues, including a full-service banquet operation servicing 130,000-plus square feet of meetings and events space. As part of its transformation, the resort will welcome four new concepts, including Rumorosa, a Cali-Baja-inspired dining outlet; Brewery X craft beer pub; Sunglow harborside bar and cabana club; and Strada, a casual grab-and-go eatery.

The Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina will also introduce three pools. The property offers a range of water sport activities, including boat, jet ski, kayak, and paddleboard rentals as well as whale-watching excursions.

The renovation project for the Marina Tower is being undertaken in phases. The hotel will remain open throughout the renovation process. Guests are invited to enjoy the already-completed spaces of the Marina Tower guestrooms and suites as well as the renovated meeting spaces, enhanced with new design elements such as &More by Sheraton, a day-to-night F&B experience; The Community Table, a purpose-built workspace that allows guests to work, eat and drink in the hotel lobby; The Studios, flexible gathering spaces available to guests to reserve; and soundproof Booths.
