Marriott El Paso Completes First Phase of Renovation

Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, Marriott El Paso has announced the completion of the first phase of its extensive renovation project that includes all guestrooms and suites. Phase II of the renovation has begun, slated for completion in fall 2024.

The hotel in El Paso is popular due to its proximity to the airport, downtown and the Mexico border. Owned and managed by Columbia Sussex, the Marriott El Paso offers 296 guestrooms and suites. The fully redesigned guestrooms include new furnishings, ambient lighting, electronic connectivity additions, functional workspace areas, multiple USB ports, Wi-Fi, an in-room coffee bar, 55-inch TV and more. The rooms and suites sport a neutral color theme with pops of rich blue, gray hues and sunset palettes.

The contemporary suites offer a big-screen swivel TV, comfortable bedding, shelving and lounge seating area. All bathrooms now have newly built-in showers with glass doors, white quartz countertops with new large backlit mirrors, new floor tile, modern barn sliding bathroom doors with frosted glass and more.

The Marriott El Paso offers two concierge levels and a Concierge Lounge. Concierge-level guests enjoy turndown service upon request, and Elite members have access to the Concierge Lounge on the fifth floor, where they can enjoy a continental breakfast, evening hors d’oeuvres, desserts and bar service.

Phase II of the renovation will include public spaces, a fitness center, and indoor and outdoor pools. The hotel’s meeting space, spanning more than 13,500 square feet, is also undergoing an upgrade, and includes an 8,000-square-foot ballroom.
