Downright Austin Hotel to Open Spring 2024

Renaissance Hotels has announced that Downright Austin is slated to open in spring 2024. Located in downtown Austin, Downright Austin will have a bold and postmodern lobby experience, 367 guestrooms (including five suites), 31,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event spaces, and new culinary concepts, all within blocks of the Texas State Capitol and Moody Amphitheater. The hotel is located within steps from the Red River District, home to some of the city’s best live music venues.

Downright Austin is in the final phase of a multimillion-dollar transformation. The design of the building aims to blend postmodern elements with timeless design, bridging the past and present of Austin (think: an open and airy ambiance, pink hue and modernist geometry, natural terra-cotta colors and textures, abundant greenery, natural light and checkerboard designs).

Lost Boy & Co., in collaboration with local industry veterans FBR Management, is set to unveil two dining and cocktail experiences within the property this spring. Set in a sunken dining room with submarine views of the adjacent new pool, one of the restaurants will celebrate poolside leisure and summertime fare. Additionally, a new lobby concept complete with a walk-up counter is tailored for locals and hotel guests in search of a quick morning coffee or on-the-go breakfast.

Downright Austin participates in Marriott Bonvoy, the travel program from Marriott International, allowing members to earn and redeem points for their stays. The global travel program also offers members exclusive experiences on Marriott Bonvoy Moments and a range of benefits including free nights and Elite status recognition.
