Grand Wailea Appoints New Director of National Accounts

Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort, set on 40 acres of tropical gardens fronting Maui’s Wailea Beach, has appointed Nathan Decker as the director of national accounts. In his new role, Decker will direct west coast group sales initiatives for the resort.

“Maui boasts some of the best island resorts, and I could not be more excited for this next chapter at Grand Wailea,” said Decker in a press release. “I am eager to bring my extensive resort experience back to Maui to help further the continued success of this iconic resort.”

Decker brings an extensive background in travel sales to his new role, including over a decade of experience at luxury resorts throughout Hawaii. Most recently, Decker was the area director of sales at Nanuku Auberge Resort, Fiji and The Lodge at Blue Sky, and prior to that, he acted as the director of group sales for The Resort at Paws Up. Decker has previously held sales leadership positions at The St. Regis Princeville, Starwood Resorts of Maui, and The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua.

In his new position as director of National Accounts at Grand Wailea, Decker will develop and execute strategies to drive group business and increase overall revenue.

“We are thrilled to welcome Nathan to our team here at Grand Wailea,” said JP Oliver, Grand Wailea’s managing director, in a press note. “With his years of expertise and familiarity with the island, we’re confident that he will prove to be an integral leader in our sales department.”
