Cambria Hotels has announced the opening of the Cambria Hotel Boston Somerville. The new four-story, 163-key property is located just two miles from Boston’s city center and places guests in the heart of downtown Somerville, New England. The hotel joins the Cambria Hotel Boston, Downtown-South Boston and the soon-to-open Cambria Hotel Portland Downtown Old Port, Cambria Hotel Manchester South Windsor and Cambria Hotel New Haven, which are expected to debut this year.
Besides providing access to the Cambridge rail line and nearby restaurants and attractions including Prospect Hill Park and Bow Market, the hotel is located near several corporate headquarters and area employers, including Greentown Labs, ABM Industries, Cambridge Health Alliance, Fidelity Investments and Liberty Mutual Insurance. The Harvard University, Tufts University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology are all within walking distance from the property.
The Cambria Hotel Boston Somerville sporrts locally inspired design and décor to reflect Somerville’s arts and culture scene, and rich academic tradition. The contemporary guestrooms are equipped with design-forward fixtures, abundant lighting and plush bedding, and the spa-style bathrooms are outfitted with Bluetooth mirrors.
The property has multi-purpose indoor and outdoor spaces, including a game room and a spacious lobby for working, gathering or relaxing. The lobby currently serves small bites, Cambria Estate wines and craft beer sourced from local Somerville restaurants. Onsite dining will be available soon and will serve freshly made food, local craft beer, wine and specialty cocktails, besides grab-and-go options.
Other facilities include a fitness center, and multi-function meeting and event spaces.
