Visit Greater Palm Springs Launches New Meetings Campaign

Visit Greater Palm Springs (VGPS) has launched its new meetings campaign, “The Oasis Is Real.” Developed in partnership with San Diego-based agency Greenhaus, the campaign highlights Greater Palm Springs as a vibrant meetings destination.

This campaign outlines an invitation, promising a memorable experience in the Southern California Oasis. It will be deployed across various platforms, including the VGPS e-newsletter, print ads, digital advertising, content pieces and e-blasts, reaching a global audience of meetings professionals.

The “Oasis is Real” campaign highlights the diverse experiences tailored to accommodate an array of meetings and events where attendees can enjoy a blend of relaxation and productivity. What sets Greater Palm Springs apart is the commitment to inclusivity and hospitality. The oasis is not just a geographical one with an expansive aquifer and hot springs, but an oasis that has personal meaning for those seeking a place where they feel welcome and included.

The campaign will launch ahead of IMEX America, which takes place October 17–19, 2023.

For the third year, VGPS has reallocated funds designated for the IMEX booth to be used for a donation of $20,000 to local Greater Palm Springs charities Find Food Bank to support community members who are experiencing food insecurity; and the Greater Palm Springs Tourism Foundation which supports scholarships and education to support the future of the hospitality workforce. Furthermore, for each qualified lead generated as a result of IMEX, an additional $100 per lead will be donated.

New this year at IMEX, VGPS will offer a virtual reality lounge at the Greater Palm Springs tradeshow booth. This VR experience will allow meeting professionals to take an immersive, virtual exploration of the destination’s attractions including the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, off-road jeep tours of the San Andreas Fault, Joshua Tree National Park, canyon hikes and virtually driving on a racetrack.
