The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs has announced the appointment of two new directors. The resort has named industry leader Eva Prezenkowski, CEM, as its director of convention sales, while April Flagg has been named the director of national accounts, northeast and international sales.
Prezenkowski comes to The Broadmoor from Charlotte, NC, where she served as the sales account manager for the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority and championed the sales of the Charlotte Convention Center for conventions, meetings and citywide events.
She honed her sales skills at the Pasadena Convention & Visitors Bureau and Convention Center for 10 years. She held various tradeshow sales positions with Americas Mart and Merchandise Mart Properties while residing in Atlanta and Los Angeles. Certified in Exhibition Management, Eva holds the CEM designation through International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE).
Flagg joined The Broadmoor in 2023 after completing five and a half years as a national sales manager at the "South's Grand Hotel," The Peabody, in the heart of downtown Memphis, TN.
Growing up in Texas with her family, she enjoyed various interests such as competing in rodeos, 4-H stock shows, FFA horse judging, horseback riding, pageants, modeling, scuba diving, hiking, community programs, garden shows, playing musical instruments and fitness. Her journey to the Mid-South allowed her to grow in many service and business industries, such as news stations, country clubs, hotels and restaurants.
In the service industry, her career has spanned practically every department, including front office, housekeeping, bartender, assistant manager, executive meeting manager, stand-in action station cook, deli attendant, room service, reservations coordinator, and director of sales.
The Broadmoor has hosted events ranging from a board meeting for a handful of executives to a multi-day conference for 5,000-plus attendees. In all, 310,000-plus square feet of meeting space is available. For information, visit www.broadmoor.com.
