Andaz West Hollywood Hires Two Hospitality Veterans

Andaz West Hollywood, located on the Sunset Strip, has announced two key appointments to its team. Julian Tucker is the property’s new general manager and Terrance Frederick is the new director of sales, events and marketing. In his new role, Tucker will manage all aspects of the hotel and its day-to-day operations, including the property’s 239 guestrooms and suites, dining destinations and rooftop pool. Frederick will oversee the sales and marketing at Andaz West Hollywood in addition to the on-site events.

Tucker and Frederick will be unveiling a new suite elevating rooftop programing to include brand collaborations, expanding outdoor event offerings with the hotel’s new drive-in where guests can enjoy movies and live performances projected on to a 65-foot screen, showcasing art exhibitions and more.

Tucker is a 25-year Hyatt veteran with extensive experience in the hospitality sector. He started off his career at the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee in the security department and was promoted to director of security before becoming executive housekeeper. Frederick began his hospitality career in 2007 in operations with independent hotel brands in Virginia before switching to sales in 2010. His first job with Hyatt was in 2014 at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead as sales manager with a later promotion to assistant director of sales. He continued at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta in the same role. He moved on to the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego as director of group sales before joining Andaz West Hollywood.
