The Westin Sacramento Riverfront Hotel & Spa, which recently unveiled its new name and transformation of its 101 guestrooms and public spaces, has unveiled its second phase of renovations. The hotel’s newly renovated venues, including 7,887 square feet of indoor and outdoor space across its boardrooms and ballrooms, are designed for weddings, receptions, banquets, corporate meetings and more.
Wilson Ishihara Design was tapped to redesign the hotel’s three event rooms, two breakout rooms and outdoor space overlooking the Sacramento River. These newly transformed spaces allow for customized and versatile events, ranging from intimate celebrations to large receptions. Venue setups vary from theater- and schoolroom-style events, to conferences, U-shape, receptions and banquets across the Grand Monaco Ballroom, Monaco I, Monaco II, The Tower Room, Siena Boardroom and the Portofino on the River’s Edge.
The Grand Monaco Ballroom, a combination of Monaco I and II, measures 2,750 square feet and accommodates 192 people theater-style, 120 schoolroom-style, 75 for a conference set up and U-shape, and 170 for a reception or 180 for a banquet. Spanning 850 square feet, Monaco I can accommodate 70 people in theater-style, 48 for a schoolroom, 25 for a conference, 30 for a U-shape, 75 for a reception or 60 for a banquet. Monaco II, spanning 1,938 square feet, can accommodate 192 people in theater-style, 94 for a schoolroom, 50 for conference, 45 for a U-shape, 145 for a reception or 128 for a banquet. The Tower Room, offering 500 square feet, can accommodate 55 people for theater-style, 30 for a schoolroom, 24 for conference, 22 for a U-shape, 50 for a reception or 40 for a banquet. Additionally, the Siena Boardroom, designed for up to 10 individuals, can be set up in a conference-style and totals 195 square feet. Those looking to host their event outdoors can book the Portofino on the River’s Edge, spanning 2,500 square feet, accommodating up to 165 people in theater-style, 150 in schoolroom style, 70 for a conference, 60 for a U-shape, 200 reception style or 160 people for a banquet.
Event planners can choose from an array of catering options at the on-site restaurant, Scott’s Seafood on the River. Catering packages include a breakfast or brunch menu with options from continental, classic breakfast, plated brunch to à la carte; a lunch menu with choices of specialty boxed lunches, plated lunch or a butler-served buffet; a dinner menu including choices of plated, in-room stations or a butler-served buffet; as well as a “Late Night at Scott’s” menu with small bites. Beverage packages include wine, beer and hosted bar offerings with options from premium or top-shelf brands.
Good to know: To be unveiled in summer 2025, The Westin Sacramento Riverfront Hotel & Spa’s private marina will also allow guests an outdoor venue to host events, including movie nights under the stars, exclusive tastings, and more.
