The Venetian Resort Updates Meetings Venues, Debuts New Planning Tool

The Venetian Resort has announced several new updates to the property’s 2.25 million-square-foot convention center and expo, including a change of name for two of its meetings-focused venues.

Beginning September 2, the Sands Expo & Convention Center will be known as The Venetian Expo and The Venetian Congress Center will be referred to as The Venetian Convention Center. According to the company, the new name for the expo space aligns with The Venetian brand while the name change for The Venetian Congress Center is designed to better reflect the function of the space.

This year, The Venetian Expo will host several of the Top 25 tradeshows in the United States, including ISC WestHIMSS Global Health Conference & Exhibition, JCK Las Vegas, and American Urological Association.

In addition, the resort has begun booking its newest meeting room, The Stella Studio. A multi-functional venue with more than 8,000 square feet of space, the studio offers a private meeting or event space, with natural light, and is customizable to meet the needs of small to midsize groups. The studio's dedicated kitchen and full bar make the space well-suited for receptions, coffee and continental breakfast.

The Venetian Resort has also launched its Venetian Meetings Virtual Planner, a tool aimed at MICE professionals that allows prospective customers to customize and research venues prior to contacting a representative at the resort. The tool also allows a prospect to request a proposal from the sales team on property. In addition to providing the dimensions and capacities for each venue, Venetian Meetings Virtual Planner takes users through a virtual tour of the venues and provides fly-through videos and photos. Once a user has determined their event space, they are able to design a configuration to suit their needs, in two and three dimensions, and attach the customized layout to the RFP.
