Chatham Bars Inn Offering New "Teambuilding for a Cause" Experiences

Beyond Chatham Bars Inn's engaging meeting activities such as boat excursions and farm-to-table events at the eight-acre farm, the Cape Cod, MA, resort also offers "Teambuilding for a Cause" programming, highlighting three philanthropic activities that give back to the Chatham community.

Whether building a bed, bicycle or plush toy for a child in need, Chatham Bars Inn's dedicated meeting team can help turn teambuilding activities into a beloved child's memory.

  • Stuff-a-Plush: Stuff-a-Plush is Chatham Bars Inn's own version of Build-A-Bear. During this activity, each participant can stuff their own plush animals and choose books to donate with each plush. Each plush and book will be donated to local schools to help promote reading. Meeting planners can select a school to donate in a chosen local area. The activity lasts 90 minutes, and invites a minimum of 12 participants and up to 50 participants.
  • Build-a-Bed: A Bed for Every Child, a program brought to Chatham Bars Inn from the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless, is a memorable and rewarding teambuilding activity. The unique offering brings together team members through a unique pay-it-forward model to build beds for families in need across Massachusetts. In under two hours, a bundle of wood transforms into a bed. Teams work together to create bed frames that are then shipped to children in need. The activity welcomes a minimum of 12 participants and up to 100 participants.
  • Build-a-Bike: This hands-on team building workshop is sponsored by "High Impact Leaders." Chatham Bars Inn is the liaison to set up the experience, in which participants work in groups to solve puzzles and earn parts of each bike. At the conclusion, teams will have assembled a number of bicycles for children from low-income backgrounds. Chatham Bars Inn works with local charities to donate the bicycles. The two-hour activity welcomes a minimum of 24 participants, and up to 100 participants.

First opened as a luxury hunting lodge for wealthy Bostonians in 1914, today the 25-acre Chatham Bars Inn is a full-service resort with 217 individually decorated rooms and suites, recreational options, dining, spa and an eight-acre farm. Chatham Bars Inn is located on its own quarter-mile private beach just a short stroll from Chatham, one of the most historic and picturesque villages on the Cape.

Whether planning a meeting, a team building event, or a wedding, Chatham Bars Inn offers over 10,000 square feet of indoor or outdoor function space. Dedicated event planners and recreation team members will tailor-make events, providing flexible, creative, and innovative ideas. Executive Chef Andrew Chadwick and his team work closely with the Inn’s farm and local fishermen to create authentic farm-to-table and pier-to-plate culinary experiences. Guests are also welcome aboard the Inn’s fleet of boats to ensure memorable and unique nautical experiences on the water.
