Hyatt Hotels has announced the upcoming opening of Secrets Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa this summer on the secluded shores of Playa Esmeralda in the Dominican Republic. The adults-only, all-inclusive resort, designed with MICE and executive retreats in mind, is now accepting reservations. As the first resort to debut in this emerging area, alongside its family-friendly sister property Dreams Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa, it offers a blend of elevated amenities and expansive meeting space.
Secrets Playa Esmeralda is home to 500 suites with private balconies or terraces with ocean, garden or pool views. Other facilities include 10 dining options serving a variety of cuisine as well as beachside grills and cafés. There are six on-site bars, including a beachfront bar, a swim-up bar and a piano lounge. Additionally, MICE groups will enjoy all-inclusive perks such as “Unlimited-Luxury” inclusions like 24-hour room service, pool and beach service, and daily entertainment programming.
Secrets Playa Esmeralda offers more than 15,000 square feet of flexible meeting spaces, including a grand ballroom and multiple breakout rooms accommodating up to 1,000 guests.
Groups can balance productivity with wellness and team-building opportunities, ranging from beachfront yoga and water sports to cooking classes and nightly events. Additionally, the on-site Secrets Spa offers 12 treatment rooms, hydrotherapy, a full-service beauty salon and private services for VIPs and executives.
For mixed-age incentive trips or large-scale buyouts, guests staying at Secrets will also have access to Dreams Playa Esmeralda next door. The family-friendly resort offers a waterpark, kids’ clubs, entertainment venues and more.
