Monteverdi Tuscany Unveils New Meeting & Retreat Center

Monteverdi Tuscany, a boutique hotel in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Val d’Orcia, has unveiled its new Meeting & Retreat Center. Set within a 15th-century building in the former parish house, the venue comprises a Private Meeting Room, two interconnectable and customizable rooms, and an arena with direct access to the property’s Culinary Academy and Garden. It offers a range of multifunctional spaces for conferences, meetings, seminars, workshops, retreats, milestone events and parties.

The esthetic vision for the Meeting & Retreat Center was led by Ilaria Miani. The Rome-based interior designer is known for her approach to reviving abandoned structures and incorporating centuries-old, reclaimed materials into modern designs. Many of the historic building’s original structures, including wooden ceiling beams and hand-laid stone walls have been restored, complementing the colorful walls, handcrafted furniture from local artisans and cocciopesto floors built with ancient techniques. Thoughtful window placement allows natural light to flood the space while offering inspirational images of Monte Cetona, the hills of Tuscany and other vistas.

Be it executive retreats, intimate celebrations or family gatherings, the Meeting & Retreat Center offers several flexible spaces suited for a range of requirements. The two interconnectable rooms can accommodate large groups in a number of different configurations: Classroom, auditorium, dinner, cocktail party and open space for mingling. For small-scale meetings, executive gatherings and breakout workshops, the Private Meeting Room provides an intimate environment for eight to 10 people. Finally the arena, with its minimalistic design and tiered seating, offers a special space designed to inspire creativity and collaboration.

Guests using the Meeting & Retreat Center will have access to Monteverdi’s events team. Whether guests are interested in seeing famous frescoes in nearby towns, masterpieces in museums, vineyard tours and wine tastings, cooking classes at the Culinary Academy or outdoor yoga with panoramic views, the team can create customized experiences to enhance the connection between guests and spur renewed vigor in both work and life.
