Marriott Offers “Back On Track” Package for Meetings and Events

Marriott International is celebrating the return of in-person meetings to its properties in the Caribbean and Latin America with a “Back on Track” offer. The package will be available at select properties in the region through December 31, 2022, for meetings held by December 31, 2024.

All Marriott Bonvoy members can avail of the package. Meetings planners can avail of double Marriott Bonvoy points. They can also select from two additional benefits per meeting booked:

  • A 3 to 5 percent rebate to the Master Bill (based on actualized revenue)
  • One-time hotel credit per room (credit varies by hotel)
  • 50 percent of Marriott Bonvoy Points awarded within 30 days
  • Airline credit of $400 (credit reimbursement method varies by hotel)
  • Three-night gift certificate (for a future stay)
  • Complimentary room flexibility (one complimentary room for every 30 rooms actualized)
  • One-hour welcome reception with food and beverage (varies by hotel)

Properties range from The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, the JW Marriott Sao Paulo in Brazil, Fairfield Inn & Suites Cancun and The Westin Reserva Conchal, an All-inclusive Golf Resort and Spa in Costa Rica. In total, there are 169 properties–37 properties in the Caribbean, 60 in Mexico and 72 in Central and South America–available for planners to book.

“The region is so diverse that it affords many varied experiences. A quarterly review meeting may take place in Colombia at the Aloft Bogota for example, a top performing sales team may be enjoying an unforgettable incentive trip at The Westin Playa Bonita in Panama. There is an ideal hotel option within our Marriott Bonvoy portfolio of brands for every group or event,” said Louise Bang, Regional VP for sales and distribution, Caribbean and Latin America.

Besides the “Back on Track” offer, Marriott International offers events and activities at its meeting properties, including special tours that groups can take to local sites, cooking classes, mixology sessions or “workcation” tools for extended pre- or post-meeting stays. A highlight of Marriott International’s properties in the Caribbean and Latin America are local culinary experiences. Meeting planners can share their vision, and onsite F&B teams will bring these to life using locally sourced ingredients and products.
