Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina Completes Reno

Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina has announced the completion of its multi-million dollar renovation project led by Boston-based Parker Torres Design.

With 1,366 guestrooms and suites, the hotel’s two signature towers have long been a focal point of the San Diego downtown skyline, designed to resemble the hull of a boat and sail that line the hotel’s private marina. The newly renovated guestrooms showcase soft blue hues and light wood accents, paired with rope details and metal hardware to round out the metro-coastal vibe. The tower corridors also have a new carpet design inspired by ocean waves and sandy shorelines.

A new addition to Marriott Marquis’ ground floor, the M Club is an exclusive guest lounge well-suited for co-working, breakfast meetings or other guest experiences. The space was configured to allow as much natural light as possible.

With the resort-style pool as its backdrop, the North Tower Lobby now sports hues of blue and gree. Offering plenty of seating areas throughout, the public space allows guests to delight in pool views upon arrival and mix business with pleasure in individual workspaces or collaborative group settings.

During the first phase of the renovation, Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina converted a former private dining space to the Bayside Lounge, which is now home to the hotel’s Topgolf Swing Suite experience. A hands-on hub for playful competition, the Sunset Lounge has three Swing Suite simulators that overlook San Diego Bay. The application provides a range of games for golfers and non-golfers, and seamlessly accommodates business meetings, group celebrations for locals and visitors alike.

The hotel also offers guests six different on-site dining options, two outdoor pool experiences, an on-property spa and wellness center, a 446-slip marina, and more than 270,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
