Hotel Cleveland, Autograph Collection Completes $90M Renovation

Following a $90 million restoration and nearly a decade of planning, Hotel Cleveland, Autograph Collection is now complete at 24 Public Square in Downtown Cleveland. A gala grand opening is slated for June 4.

Formerly the Cleveland Renaissance Hotel, Hotel Cleveland has 491 guestrooms, including 50 suites, and a new lobby that retains its historic features. Its 59,000 square feet of meeting space includes 30 distinctive areas and three ballrooms, one of which is the largest Marriott ballroom in Ohio at 22,590 square feet. Workspaces and free Wi-Fi are available throughout all meeting and public areas.

The hotel has two new restaurants. Maker, with a massive green crystal chandelier, offers views of Public Square. The chefs have created a menu of small plates, shareable dishes, entrees and sides, all with a Cleveland touch. Maker also offers craft cocktails and alcohol-free culinary creations.

Nearby, Mowrey’s serves à la carte American-style breakfast favorites, also with Cleveland twists, and is available for private dining. Named after the 1814 tavern and inn that once stood on this site, Mowrey’s continues a 200-year tradition of hospitality for Cleveland visitors and locals.

From presidents and royalty to rock stars and sports legends, the Hotel Cleveland and its predecessors have hosted some of the world's most prominent travelers. Luminaries like Martin Luther King Jr., Duke Ellington, Charles Lindbergh, Harry Truman, and Eleanor Roosevelt have visited. Using the latest NFC code medallion technology, guests can stand before historic imagery and artworks to be transported to the city’s—and the nation’s—most important moments. For instance, during The Beatles’ 1964 stay, police were called when mobs of fans surrounded the hotel.
