Hilton’s Signia Brand Hits New Heights as Indianapolis Tower Tops Out at 38 Stories

Hilton’s convention-oriented brand, Signia by Hilton, marked a major construction milestone this month as the 38-story Signia by Hilton Indianapolis officially topped out. Once complete in fall 2026, the 800-room hotel is slated to be the tallest hotel in Indiana and the first Signia property in both the state and the Midwest.

City and Hilton officials gathered to commemorate the topping-off of what will soon be the largest ballroom in Indiana, located within the state’s most ambitious hotel project in more than a decade. Construction is now 62 percent complete, and the project remains on schedule.

“If Indianapolis wants to keep rising as a city and as a prime destination for people from all over the world, it is vital that we invest in projects like the Signia by Hilton and expand the Indiana Convention Center,” Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett said in a statement. “The way this building is transforming our skyline is truly a sign of all the success that is to come.”

The project underscores Hilton’s success in carving out a distinct niche for Signia by Hilton, a relatively new brand designed for large-scale meetings and conventions with an elevated, lifestyle-driven atmosphere. The Indianapolis property joins recently opened Signia hotels in Orlando and Atlanta, both of which have become anchors for major convention business.

Once complete, the new hotel will feature nearly 100,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 50,000-square-foot ballroom with direct skywalk access to the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium. Guests can also expect seven dining concepts, a rooftop pool and sky bar, a wellness-focused design philosophy and Club Signia, a premium experience tier for guests seeking exclusive amenities.

“Signia by Hilton Indianapolis will be more than a hotel, it will be a transformative destination that reimagines hospitality in the Midwest,” Kathy Heneghan, general manager of Signia by Hilton Indianapolis, added in a statement. “From its skyline-defining architecture to its world-class amenities and event spaces, this property reflects the vision driving Indianapolis forward.”

According to Visit Indy, the development has already helped secure $1.3 billion in retained convention business and sparked interest in another $1 billion in new bookings, with groups reserving space as far out as 2036. The American Society of Safety Professionals has already announced plans to host its 2030 annual meeting in Indianapolis, a convention projected to generate $11.5 million in economic impact.
