Hilton Tokyo Begins Major Event Space Overhaul

Hilton Tokyo has embarked on the renewal of its Kiku Ballroom as part of a multimillion-dollar phased renovation of its events spaces. The remodel will transform the Shinjuku property’s entire fourth floor, comprising a total of over 15,300 square feet, to create modern, functional and tech-ready areas designed to provide a range of flexible event experiences. With the completion of the phased renewal slated for October 2025, Hilton Tokyo will be even better equipped to cater to full-day event programs spread across two meeting floors and the second-floor restaurants.

The Kiku Ballroom, with room for up to 1,000 guests, will be remodeled to allow for partitioning into four sections (Kikus 1–4), promoting greater adaptability. Kikus 1–3 span over 8,330 square feet, suitable for up to 800 guests in theater style and 450 guests for a gala dinner each. Covering 1,700 square feet, Kiku 4 can hold up to 150 guests (theater style) or 90 guests (banquet style).

Kiku 1 will house the largest curved Barco LED wall (approximately 50 feet by 10 feet) of any hotel ballroom in Japan and a cutting-edge digital audio system. An additional LED screen will be installed in Kiku 3. The integration of this advanced hardware enables parallel event management across two LED walls, providing flexibility and customization capabilities.

The Kiku Ballroom’s adjoining 5,275-square-foot pre-function area will afford natural light and views of the Shinjuku skyline. Potential uses include event registration, break time with refreshments, cocktail receptions, networking and exhibitions. A cloakroom will also be available. The pre-function space will be connected via two sets of elevators (total eight elevators) to access the guestrooms, hotel lobby and basement parking. It will also be accessible from the third-floor meeting spaces, second-floor restaurants and first-floor hotel lobby via a spiral staircase.

In addition, the hotel offers 830 guestrooms and capability for outside event catering for up to 3,500 attendees. For more information, visit www.hilton.com.
