Hilton Hotel in Washington D.C. to Unveil $30M Reno in October

Embassy Suites by Hilton Washington D.C. Convention Center is in the final stages of completing its full-property $30 million renovation. The project includes the complete overhaul of the property’s 388 two-room suites, lobby and public spaces, along with an upgrade to its 12,000-square-foot meeting and event space, and the addition of an on-site restaurant, Brickstones Kitchen & Bar. An official ceremony marking the completion of the renovation will be held in early October.

The hotel is located in the heart of D.C.’s City Center, in the neighborhoods of Shaw and Penn Quarter, and offers access to the National Mall, museums, monuments and multiple Metro stations, besides shopping, dining and entertainment options. The hotel’s lobby welcomes visitors to a revamped open space featuring new flooring, lounge decor, furniture and contemporary fixtures.

Each room in the property features a two-room suite, with King and Double Bed configurations, equipped with two HDTVs, kitchenettes with a mini refrigerator and microwave, a full-sized sofa bed and a private living area. The property enhancements include the addition of a 950-square-foot Hospitality Suite and a 1,200-square-foot Presidential Suite featuring two bedrooms and a full-sized kitchen.

The size of the hotel’s 24/7 fitness center has been increased from 800 square feet to 1,700 square feet. It features the latest equipment, besides a refurbished indoor heated pool. Additional enhancements include an expansion to the flexible meeting and event spaces totaling 12,000 square feet and the addition of a lobby level meeting room with floor-to-ceiling windows. All meeting rooms feature A/V equipment.
