Cheeca Lodge & Spa Announces Upgrades

Cheeca Lodge & Spa has announced major updates to the property, including a 10,000-square-foot event center, to be named The Islamorada Ballroom, and 43 newly built oceanfront suites. Along with the existing 6,300 square feet of event space, the 27-acre luxury resort in Florida Keys will offer over 16,000 square feet of meeting and event space and a total of 244 guestrooms and suites.

With over 10,000 square feet of space, The Islamorada Ballroom will feature ceiling heights of 17.5 feet, accommodating up to 1,000 guests for receptions and 788 for banquet-style dinners. The space features retractable walls to allow for three breakout rooms for hosting smaller events. Surrounding the center is a wraparound foyer area, where views of the Atlantic Ocean will provide the ideal backdrop for coastal-inspired receptions and exhibits.

Debuting alongside the event center are 43 luxury oceanfront suites, located in the northernmost building at the resort. The suites will offer king and double queen accommodations. Each suite will span more than 550 square feet, with floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open to a private porch with open-air spa tubs, a signature of the resort’s lodge suites. Nightly rates for the luxury oceanfront suites will start at $569 per night.
