Cedar Lakes Estate in New York Unveils "Glasshouse" Event Venue

Cedar Lakes Estate has announced the launch of The Glasshouse, an architecturally striking, climate-controlled venue slated to open this summer 2025. The new space in the Hudson Valley offers a blend of modern sophistication and the estate’s signature rustic charm. The Glasshouse is designed to provide a setting for weddings, corporate retreats and milestone celebrations, without the worry of unpredictable weather.

Tucked within Cedar Lakes Estate’s 500-acre property, The Glasshouse is built entirely of glass, immersing guests in views of the rolling hills, lake and lush surroundings. The light-filled, four-season venue delivers the magic of an outdoor celebration—without weather worries.

Spanning 3,500 square feet, The Glasshouse accommodates up to 250 guests and is complete with an atrium ceiling, custom-designed lighting and a fully integrated sound system. The Glasshouse has 100 feet of folding glass doors for open-air celebrations, a 30-foot glass roof, heated bluestone floors and a grand stone fireplace with copper accents. Guests will also have access to Cedar Lakes Estate’s farm-to-table culinary offerings, curated by chefs who source seasonal ingredients from the estate’s organic garden and local purveyors.

The venue is also designed with sustainability in mind. Eco-conscious materials (such as native stone sourced from the Cedar Lakes Estate property) were incorporated into the construction and it's heated and cooled with geothermal energy.

Good to know: Designed to complement, not replace, Cedar Lakes Estate’s event spaces, The Glasshouse eliminates the need for costly rain contingencies. In 2022 and 2023—the rainiest summers on record—couples spent $20,000 to $50,000 weekly on tents. With The Glasshouse, those concerns become a thing of the past, ensuring seamless celebrations in any season.
