Hyatt Centric Austin Enhances Meeting and Events Space Offerings

Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin has increased its meeting and event space capabilities. With a host of events happening in Austin this year in the months to come—Moontower Just For Laughs Austin, the Total Solar Eclipse, NASCAR at Circuit of the Americas and the CMT Music Awards, to name a few—the hotel located in downtown is well-suited for travelers looking to create experiences around sporting, music and entertainment events.

The event and meeting spaces are located throughout the 31-story hotel on multiple levels. Along with the 246 guestrooms and suites, it has 2,560 square feet of versatile meeting and event space, plus an additional 1,400 square feet of event space on the 31st floor, the hotel’s penthouse named “Artist Residence.” The Artist Residence Penthouse Suite can be rented out for special occasions like holiday parties, bachelor or bachelorette parties, corporate happy hours, family gatherings, and any other special occasion one might have planned. The suite’s flexible floor plan makes it a good option for entertaining and the private terrace allows for views of downtown Austin.

Among the other event spaces at the hotel, there is the 940-square-foot Marquee Room. From intimate weddings to meetings and other special events for up to 40 people, this modern space provides a view down Congress Avenue through floor-to-ceiling windows. The Green Room additionally offers 464 square feet of space and has floor-to-ceiling windows. This cozy meeting room can comfortably accommodate up to 20 people for small business gatherings and social events.

The Escape Artist is a modern space for up to 14 people. The 321-square-foot space has easy access from the hotel and its floor-to-ceiling windows make this a great option for smaller groups. Then there is the Recording Lounge, which offers 225 square feet of space. Drawing inspiration from Austin’s rich musical history, this lounge area is ideal for executive meetings for up to six people, or it can even be used as a private office space.

In addition to the individual meeting rooms, the hotel’s second and eighth floor are two versatile spaces also open for events and rentals. The lounge and bar area on the eighth floor can accommodate large gatherings such as wedding receptions, corporate meet-ups and more. The combined space opens up to a large rooftop terrace—one of few in Austin’s downtown district—where guests can enjoy cocktails and socialize while taking in views of the city skyline. The second-floor event space provides an intimate setting for smaller gatherings (think baby showers, bridal luncheons, rehearsal dinners) and can be adapted for a cocktail-style event or private dinner.
