The Broadmoor Hires Sales Rep to Handle New Event Space

The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs has hired Curtis Robison to fill a new role at the resort: director of national sales – tradeshows and exhibits. The resort is in the process of building over 125,000 square feet of new exhibition space and associated breakout rooms, with a planned opening in spring 2020.

Robison most recently spent six years as a senior sales executive with Gaylord National in National Harbor, Maryland, specializing in convention, trade show, and exhibit sales to groups of more than 300 and up to more than 2,000 during peak times. Prior to Gaylord National, he worked as senior convention sales manager and business development sales manager at Hiltons of Washington, D.C., among other hospitality sales positions in the area. He holds a bachelor’s degree in hospitality and tourism management from Virginia Tech.

The Broadmoor says it has venues suitable for events ranging from a board meeting for a handful of executives to a multi-day conference for 5,000+ attendees.

The exhibit hall will exclusively be available to multi-purpose exhibits and events held in conjunction with The Broadmoor for multi-day conferences, such as the Space Symposium, the planet's largest space trade show. Together the Exhibit Hall, Broadmoor Hall, International Center, and Colorado Hall comprise “The Broadmoor Event Center,” which combined with the campus is a total of over 310,000 square feet of meeting space.
